As executive publisher of the Taipan Group LLC and vice president of the publishing company Agora Inc. in Baltimore, J.Christoph Amberger has assembled one of the world's most successful teams of independent financial analysts.
Born in 1963, he grew up in what used to be West Berlin, Germany, and was educated at the Freie Universität Berlin, the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, the University of Aberdeen (Scotland), and St. John's Graduate Institute in Annapolis, Maryland. His work and travel have given him firsthand experience of Eastern and Western Europe, as well as North and Central America.
Amberger began his career as a freelance contributor to various Agora publications before emigrating to the United States in 1989, when he joined the editorial board of Taipan. In 1991, he took over as managing editor for the publication, and assumed responsibility as group publisher in 1995.
A frequent speaker at international conferences, he is the author of several books, among them the definitive treatise on historical European sword-fighting traditions, and scores of articles and special reports. His book *Hot Trading Secrets: How to Get In and Out of the Market with Huge Gains in Any Climate* (Wiley, 2005) is considered the "bible" of the Taipan Group's trading strategists.
His daily e-letter, the Dynamic Market Alert, has been one of the most popular financial dailies in the world since 2001. He is a sought-after guest on financial talk radio, as well as the keynote guest of the Taipan Financial News Network.
Amberger is the proud father of three children. He also is a competitive epee fencer, competing both regionally and nationally.
